Default Anyone with a Michelin S8A 27/65/18?

GT3 Nut was nice enough to part on to me a set of Michelin slicks for my street GT3 that are no longer produced.

On the 3rd HC had this terrible vibration into the uphill esses. Slow into the pits and they can see nothing. To the paddock and with some help isolate to the left rear where there was like this "aneurysmal" bulge along the entire outer edge of the tire. It looked as if it was about to blow and delaminate at any minute!

I will try and post some pictures if anyone can has seen this before. I called JD Motorsports and they are going to look at the pictures and possibly take the tire back but problem is they no longer make these.

If no problem is reported from Michelin on this particular production run I hate to waste the other three tires so if anyone happens to have one to part with let me know.

Thanks.

I have a pair of 27/65/18 S8A rears with 4 laps on them that I'd be willing to sell you. They were used on a 964 Cup for a tire experiment, and were purchased this June from JD Motorsports.

Thanks guys.

Since I bought the stupid car from Phil (Jerseybean) and he only wants a zillion dollars, I will try him first.

Geoffery and Mike... thanks for the prompt reply.

Maybe I can go out on a limb here - anyone with some 24/64/18 S7A tires? If so I can take Geoffery and Mike up on their offer.

Unfortunately I need those fronts for the street GT3.

I have a used pair of S7a fronts that I'd make a good deal with the S8A rears.
