Until you add the effect of downforce from the aero package...

During the commentary in the IRL race at Infineon, various drivers (male too) were saying how much effort was required and how exhausting it was. They also said that F1 cars have power assist.

I drove the pseudo indy cars on the Las Vegas oval with the Mario Andretti school - the steering was very heavy and I have no idea how the drivers do it for 500 miles. And, I don't know how Danica at 5'2" and 100 lbs does it at all. The only thing I can figure is that the IRL cars have much lighter steering . . .
