Default The HWFMR Turtle Pond at Road America, and Roll Call

Since the Big Turtle no longer trailers his ownself, he can't hog a significant space for the Pond.

But long time turtle Eric Cyranski (Eric in Chi) has stuck his neck out and offered to host the Pond. At least for meet and greet, libations and conviviality.

Which means the Pond will be sharing space with the big rigs like Racer's Group, Autometrics CS Motorsport and Midwest Eurosport.

Look for Eric's reserved paddock space right next to (south) the Autometrics Trailer. (space #18) There will be one, maybe even two, banners flying, so we should be easy to find.

Eric's trailer is a lavish red Haulmark with expansive awning, his car is a red 944S2 #400 with big hornets on it. My car will be with Midwest Eurosport. A black 944S2 #71 with Turtle silhouettes on it. (Did you know Turtles eat Insects?)

Joe Cooley is bringing his homebrews (rutrow), and there are rumors the Food Angel will be in attendence with her East Coast Famous cookies.

Who else will be there?

And thanks much, Eric. (In gratitude, I will try not to lap you.)

Woohhoooo!!!!!!

I'll be there with homebrew (they are pretty tame actually, no imperial stouts done in time), some Wisconsin brew, my dad is coming out (sans track 928 unfortunately), and of course the camera will be there too.

The weather looks great too. Much better than last weekend when my first session was 35 seconds off the pace and a crashfest.

Carl from 928Motorsports is hosting a 928 party at the bottom of the hill on the concrete patch inside of turn 14.

More than a few Rennlist shark owners will be there. I'll try and drag them up to the turtle pond.

Thanks for the heads up, Mike. I think I'm sharing space with the Laps, Inc, contingent but will certainly stop by.

Does anyone know if we can drop off trailers at all hours starting Thursday afternoon?

Can't get in til after 5pm on thursday

Skippy has the track until then.

Sponsors and reserved will go in first.

Then the land rush begins.

BTW, my spies tell me Laps Inc has the space the Turtle Pond used to occupy (between Hoosier and the fuel pumps) I'll have to give Shawn a wedgie for that.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I spoke with Shawn and he confirmed that the Laps, Inc, camp would be set up near the Gearbox concession/grid entry lane. Supposedly, there'll be a good size tent marking the location so please feel free to drop by and say "hey." Glen and others, That means you, too!

Sorry you can't make it.

Will you at least be wearing Nomex as you walk your daughter down the aisle?

How about a HWFMR patch on your tuxedo?
