Cheap & Equal Porsche Racing
NASA 944 Challange provides a great venue for racing Porsches on a cheap and equal format. In the Midwest, we now have cash paying sponsors as below, and we run at the Midwest's Preimier track - Road America, Autobahn, among others. Come check us out!
Doug & Robin Hillman for VFC Engineering have committed to putting up $400 per weekend for contingecy money at Midwest events next year. This is straight cash, not discounts/certificates/coupons, for Spec class cars. We only need 4 cars next year at any event to make this happen.
Doug is also looking to build cars to suit - Spec, Cup, or SuperCup. He will also assist you in any parts of your own build that you need help in (e.g. custom cage, etc.). Doug will be at the NASA Midwest events for the rest of this year, and next year. He is also avaiable for trackside support. Big thanks to Doug & Robin of VFC for having faith in a fledgling (but rapidly growing) program.
Thanks to the hard work of up and coming racer Ray Freundt, and the gernosity of Kraig "Doc" Bryan at Doc's Upholstery in Belvedire, IL Midwest 944 spec has another $400 of contingency money *per weekend* to help get more 944's out racing!. Doc (no relation to me "Sterling Doc" ) has a full service upholstery shop near Rockford, IL that does everything from antique furniture to cars to airplanes. If you want to make your tow vehicle a "**** van" or do something more tasteful, he's your man. "Doc" enjoys an excellent reputation in this area. Please patronize him with your upholstery needs! www.Docsupholstery.com
Let me add this up for you guys who are on the fence, or are doing HPDE's and think racing will cost you too much.
Doug & Robyn Hillman for VFC Engineering www.VFCEngineering.com - $400 per weekend
Kraig "Doc" Bryan of Doc's upholstery www.Docsupholstery.com - $400 per weekend
Toyo Tires - $800 in available "Toyo Bucks" per weekend
*and* $1750 Toyo bucks avaible for the season ending regional championship if we get 5 cars to 8 races
"Darty Dave" for Dart Auto www.dartauto.com $200 "Darty Dollars" towards new & used Porsche Parts
If we have 11 races next year (13+ is more likely), we will have
$4,400 CASH
$6,150 Toyo Bucks
$1,100 Darty Dollars
$11,650 in Cash and prizes, and more to come.
If you get in the game early, you can podium with a car that is near stock - so get that cage in the car, and come out and have some fun. Donor 944's can be had for $2K or less, turn key "new" racecars for 12-14K, fully developed. Guys have built their own cars to a compettitve level for under 8K. This is cheap, and equal Porsche racing at it's finest, and now with CASH to sweeten the deal! Let's Race!

Disclaimer: I do not work nor recieve compensation form NASA or any of the sponsors listed above. I am a racer working hard to get more 944's out to race against. I hope recognizing the people & shops that help make this happen is not violating Rennlist Rules. Thanks!
