Getting my car back tomorrow with a new windshield and some rattles exorcised. I'll have the TraqMate with video so I'll track the progress. This will only be my 3rd day at LRP with a Porsche and 1st time on R-comps, so be gentle with me Gary

If you guys are looking for something new, how about the Wandering Moose at Cornwall Bridge for dinner -- very good food (and I'm picky). Might be out of your way for those of you that stay over -- at 45 minutes from home I have a hard time passing up sleeping in my own bed...

Ron - My SC engine is slowly entering it's golden years so I won't be much competition out there for you.. it's a real struggle to hack a sub-1:04 out now. The 930 is still in the OR at Hairy Dog... but it *might* be ready by then! I know Dan is sick of working on it!

As for the Moose - Hours of Operation: Closed Mondays

As for the Boat-H waitresses... they keep the lights low for good reason, but they are friendly!

Bummer -- I should have looked at the dates and times on the moose!

Here's some positive mojo that Dan finishes up in time. Would be a great time of year for having the new car -- cool / crisp air, beautiful foliage to admire as you are twisting around LRP, etc...

Here's a story for you guys... Took the 997S on a golf weekend to New Hampshire knowing it would be fun on the back roads, climbing the mountain passes, etc. Everything went well until we were running late for a tee time and we decided to take the "short cut". Well, on the map the road symbol was the same as the road we knew and it would turn a 30 minute drive into 15... So, we start going and 5 minutes into it we see all these signs about how the road is closed from November 15 to May... Now the road gets narrower... Then bumpier... then really bumpy... We're 10 minutes into it and the road turns to well maintained dirt / gravel, which deteriorates into washed out stuff, then really narrow (about 1.5 car width) -- we're now going by remote camp sites where everyone has pickups and SUVs and people are staring at us with mouths open. I say "what's up with them, like they've never seen a 997S up here before?!?..." Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, it didn't and the road got wider, better, etc. until we got to nice pavement and the "other gate" at the bottom of the mountain. Our 15 minute shortcut ended up taking 30 -- so no loss, but a great story to the good. Leave it to say that the car is nice and loose now

So Gary, keep a safe distance -- you might see some debris (squirrels, fire wood, boulders, etc.) coming from my car...

If I could only string them (6 track segments) together at one time!
