Great info here. Always thought a sticky thread or a subforum for each track would be great. Could have a "where to stay" "eat" "entertain", etc....I wrote one for Mid Ohio for another forum. Mods, is this possible?

There is supposed to be an excellent steak house in Ithaca, anyone know it?

One restaurant I haven't seen mentioned yet is at the Radisson in Corning, I think it's called Grille 123. The menu, bar and food is not what you would expect in a hotel.

Red Newt is about as good as you can get in the area/Stone Cat is not even in the same league.
Waiter offered to select a wine for us/it was awful and they refused to take it back. This place is a point by.

Thumbs up New Spot in town

There is the new Harbor Hotel www.watkinsglenharborhotel.com Opening the 1st. of August....it is suppose to have a nice bar and restaurant. My friend built it and owns it. And "no" I can't get you guys discounts on a room!

I second the "3 Birds" restaurant in Corning.....have always had good food there.

Too lazy to read page 2-4, but my vote is for the Three Birds in Corning, think it's on Market Street. One block away from the Radison..

When I contacted the Harbor Hotel they told me they did not have parking for trailers....when I pointed out that lots of their guests will have trailers, it took them by surprise. Any update on this?

I concur. Last time I was up I stayed there and ate at the bar one night. I have also decided that I won't be staying anywhere else but the Radisson in Corning. You guys can have your "quaint" little places in the Village.

Up on the hill past Ithaca College if you're coming through town, I believe.

Thai Cuisine on Rt. 13 used to be a good Thai restaurant for those who want something different. Haven't been there in a while so don't know if it's still great.

$1 Genny drafts at the Seneca Lodge followed by a beef selection in the Dining Room. Non Beef stuff can be iffy.

Glen Motor Inn , pretty good food an dview. If Victor ( the owner) is behind the desk he will share tales of the drivers he knew ( G. Hill , Stewart etc...). The GMI ran a Can Am Car back in the days of hte Mclarens before the Porsche Turbo blew up the series.

Food is good but the beauty of these places is the people and the atmosphere.

+1 for the Radisson in Corning...

I've come to think of "quaint" as "small and dark". I'll take their grill, or any of the restaurants along the main drag in Corning, too.
