Hey Nix, what is your affiliation to NJMP (ie, how do you have such access to it)?
Very cool. Thanks for the updates! Can't wait to get on this track.

Scott,

I'm on the NJMP Green Flag Committee and work with the motorsports community, the government and the track to help the project come to fruition.

Default Getting Laid

I took these pictures when I was at the track on Saturday afternoon. The asphalt trucks and and steam rollers covered Light Bulb turn the first day. About half of Lightning, the north course is now paved. In addition to the pavement the walls of the buildings are being erected. The park is on schedule for a July, 2008 opening. Schattenbaum is scheduled to be the first PCA region to have a D.E. (July '08) and the first to have a race (September '08).

Very nice!

Do you know how wide that banked turn is? Whats the angle?

The first picture you posted, is that the entry or exit? I'm hoping its corner exit...looking at the track layout and that picture, wow, could be an "interesting" braking zone if it was corner entry.

Man, this is going to be awesome!

Do they take any precautions for curing the asphalt in freezing weather?
