Does anyone have any new news on this place. Seems like it may be a dead project... I hope not, but that's the way it seems...
Any news?

First I've heard of it too- thanks for making me aware. I grew up in far east TN and wondered if there would be enough interest in that area for a road course. Ovals, yep... road courses... dunno.

I have not heard any recent news on track. Mixed rumors to this point on the future of the track. I live in Knoxville.

More east than that- Kingsport. I attended UT for while, and drove 100 miles for SCCA autox's around Knoxville. That was 10-20 years ago. Hope things have changed for the roadracers.

Where that track was going to be located, anyone running it would probably glow with a bright iridescence from the radioactivity in that area.

BigPine : that's what makes it cool. imagine how much faster we can go using "Green Glow" fuel....
I guess since it has "green" in it, Al Gore would be happy about it , right???

Don't knock the Tennessee boys!
There is a dead-zone for roadracing in that area. Road Atlanta, VIR, isn't there a roadcourse at Nashville?
Too bad that it sounds like the Oak Ridge has fizzled. Just think of the corner names. Fat Man Corner, Little Boy Bend, Einstein Straight. A history lesson wrapped up in a track day.
