I was on the back straight watching the train of F430's. 2 Risi cars sammitching a Peterson White Lightning Ferrari. The White Lightning car looked like it was following the lead Risi car a little close. Not sure if there was any contact but the Risi car spun just before apex of the turn (think it's turn 7 before the entry bridge).
If there was F430 kissing in that turn then I would have expected there to have been much angry Italian spoken in the call from Maranello that evening.

was that marco in the ferarri? They should pull his licence. 2 times in the same corner? same move, same results? that was bad!

Here's a couple of my shots. The race was awesome! It's weird how quiet the Audi's are...

How could you tell? My ears were ringing after the Z06's passed by that by the time the Audi came around I still couldn't hear a thing. I bet you the Audi would barely pass the db standards, It was more like the other cars were so loud the Audi seemed to whisper. I don't remember the 962's or 935's ever being that loud.

Great day none the less, sorry I didn't get to meet anyone.

Thanks. I shot a 1 to 1 1/2 sec burst of shots at the start (that is lap 1 in the photo), so I have about 10-12 shots in that sequence. Amazing how the Penske Spyder (I think it was Dumas driving at the start?) had jumped out to such a huge lead in such a short time.

I think I need a camera attached to my eye with an automatic shutter release. Lots of missed opportunities for some neat photos at the race.

Mid-Ohio is next.

Default LIME ROCK NEXT!. . . 2009

Race Fans-

Had to dig up this Lime Rock thread!

There is going to be a Rennlist gtg, once again, at Lime Rock, with a caravan from NY and one from Boston, that I know of.

NY CARAVAN FOR CHARITY LINK

BOSTON CARAVAN LINK

Lime Rock is the 5th race in the ALMS 2009 Series!
A beautiful venue, great racing and camaraderie for all.

Let us know if you are going to be there -- it's a great time!
Doc

PS: Remember your own ear plugs this year... AND to wear closed toe shoes if you want to partake in the pre-race activities ON THE GRID!
AND to be mindful of the LEO's on the wonderful roads in to the track . . .

That's all, folks!
