+1 on teh channel locks and a rag. That is all that is needed.

I use (2) 1.5" wide heavy duty scrapers. I push both pistons back at the same time on my 993 - works like a charm. Tying back the sensors is a good idea as well. Makes quick changeovers at the track much easier.

I bought one of those $212 tools from Craig years ago. It's a game changer when replacing pads. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Works beautifully every time.
