Trailex-Bleed Surge Brakes?
Has anyone done this for surge brakes.
Using suction on the bleeder valve does not work. No fluid comes out after a while. I think no fluid can be drawn from the master cylinder.
When I opened up the brake fluid reservoir and drained some of the brake fluid, the consistency of the fluid was like water. Also, there was a bunch of rust colored gunk in there (although not sure if it was rust).
I would like to pressure bleed the system, but I don't have a fitting that will fit into the reservoir holder.
I bought the trailer used. Is probably around 7 years old.
Any ideas?
Thanks
John

Use your emergency break away lever as a brake pedal. By rocking it back and forth, it will pump the master cylinder and fluid. You may need to wedge up the tab that lock the lever in postion to be able to move it back and forth. That's what I do.
