From all the posts in archive it seems 40lbs hot is the key.

Jim, I'd say start around 27~28 cold. Depending on your spring rates, camber, wheel widths, yada, yada, yada, you should be running between 34~38 lbs hot. Any more than that and they get greasy. My car works best at 35/37.

Same here as Larry. I find them best at 35psi on my 2600lb car. 40psi is not good.

+1 with Larry,

I start out 26~28 psi cold...I also try to get to 35 psi hot for my 2,650 lbs 968.

Love 'em by the way.

I have been starting mine (245/40-15) at 25 cold. That has gotten me 34-36 hot and that has been best for my 944. Car weighs 2780 with me in it and 3/4 tank of fuel. I have turbo sways and Koni adjustables front and rear.

I start out at 27-28 cold and up to 34 hot on my 944 turbo (2700 lbs). On my 997TT I tried at 27/29 F/R and it sucked - was only at 33-34 hot which was too low. Bumped up to 36-37 hot and was much happier

I drive a 3050lb Fire Hawk 968 and start the pressures at 28-29 cold. Hot is right about 38lbs. Anything more and the grip is compromised.

You'll know when the pressures are correct (assuming all other adjustments are correct) when you see about 6 lbs of increase from cold pressures.

+1 - my 2600lb 924 runs around 36 hot, which takes around 30psi cold (that 6-lb rise, as noted).

That does not hold true for my car. I get about an 8 lb increase in the front and a 10 lb increase in the back on an 80 degree day. It also depends on the track temp, as you need to start lower when the track is hotter.
