Default Watkins Glen repaving

I am just back from 2 days at WGI and I realize I'm not sure about the extent of the new paving. I'd like help understanding what got done.

I KNOW:

Turn 1
Turn 5 (from after the bus stop until the end of the loop)
Turn 6 (at the bottom of the hill.)

I AM NOT SURE ABOUT:

Turn 10
Turn 11

Did those 2 get repaved?? (I feel very weird, since I was just there; I don't think they are new, but maybe they are?)

I found 7 to be "different" in a bad way from last year - the concrete felt rougher and had less grip. Of course that could be perception because I'm in a different car.

I also don't remember the Esses having that much "goop".

What was with that slippery spot in the braking zone going into the Laces in the wet. No, it's not that it was wet and thus slippery - I mean that braking in the wet there went from grip to slide to grip as though there was something "permanent" on the pavement - it was there every wet session.

Loved Turn 1 and the Carousel in particular - very fast to me repaved...

Carousel is a hoot now isn't it? I can come out of Bus Stop and be back to full throttle almost immediately. Great fun.

5 and 6 are both awesome. I thought all the new areas were much better than a couple of weeks ago when I was there with Trackmasters.

You should've been doing that pre-repave!

The black stuff right in front of my car - in one photo right after the concrete. I'm not sure if it's patch, that rubberized stuff I remember somebody telling me about, or what. It just seems "worse" than it used to - but again, that was in a different car...

"Old Bill" used to warn everybody about turn 6 in the wet at driver's meetings. I paid no attention to him and came into 6 tight and hot, applied the brakes and very little happened except to the armcos and driver's rear quarter.

I think there's a spring on the side-hill.
