I second the Fikse wheel suggestion. I have bought used Fikse wheels in the past. There out there.

There's really nothing to pay attention to. You have only one choice.

From the rulebook:

"Wheels are free in GTC1 and GTC2 may be of any type or manufacturer, but must have the same width, diameter, and offsets as the original factory wheels."

This means 8x18 ET52 and 9.5x18 ET47.

Yes, that is true, however, the effective offset can be altered with wheel spacers which help when running the Dunlop slicks.

And that's what you meant in your first post re: offsets, eh?

JC, at dyno day we should have wheel offset measurement day, too.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I went to Montreal for the Gran Prix and I had to have my passport. No issue there. I was just curious about the car. It looks like I will not be able to go to Mosport this year, but I hope to get up there at some point.

FYI... I had to send my two front Fikse wheels in to get them fixed as the centers developed a few hairline cracks. Total cost to fix is slightly over $1000.

They said that they expect more wear and tear on people who drive their cars hard. So, I guess that means if you plan on being up front, you may want to consider other wheels....

Can't go along with the "other wheel" suggestion. Fikse and BBS far out shine any other manufacturer for durability. All wheels need to be checked periodically for cracks, wear, etc.
I own 6 sets of Fikse for two cars with no problems as of yet and I've been running the older three sets since 1996.

Maybe I'm just not driving hard enough.

I think we all run the same slicks & spacers, no?

I just bought 2 sets of CCWs. They are 1 piece forged wheels.

That has always been my impression. It wouldn't hurt anyone, then, to check spacing and wheel widths, would it.
