Before the NRG unit I tried another quick release that went right onto the steering shaft and it was so close to the dash that it pushed against the turn signal stalk. I think I paid $70 for the NRG from www.nopi.com of all places. Its red and ugly but I dont really care it works.

I had an NRG on my old car and loved it. It was cheap, looked cheap, but was really well made on the inside. It only goes on one way and its drilled for both wheel hub patterns, so any wheel will fit.

SO many choices...but there seems to be a clear winner: the Tekniq/Paragon unit. From pictures they look nearly identical, and they're the same price. Looks like it costs more for a reason...

Paragon Products = Teqnik, they are a distributor. See: Tekniq Auto distributors and scroll down to the USA distributors.

Anyone know the difference between the TC quick release and the Tekniq (Snap-off)....they look identical but the TC is about 20% cheaper.

No, but I'll try and remember to take one this week. The car is just sitting in the garage, as the trailer has been converted to go kart hauling for my son.

Chris, if you look at the full-size picture on TC's website, you can see the Snap-Off sticker. Link to picture here. And, it is identified as such on the order page, but I would ask them to be sure.

I bought mine from Top End Motorsports at a discounted price (see the distributor list on Tekniq's website, link in my post above) too, but it took a while to get so make sure they have them in stock.
