The treatment is not expensive, but you have to ship them to someplace in the South IIRC....
I agree. When I first purchased a set I figured it was probably a scam, but it really seems to improve the life.

The frozen rotors last significantly longer than none frozen on my car.

on my GT1 racecar I get a whole season (8 race weekends on one set of rotors).

2 sets of front pads, 1 set of rear pads for the whole season.

--

When I rane a 944 Turbo S E-stock car - between SCCA, NASA, and PCA ran 14 race weekends in one season -

For the season:
1 set of front rotors, no rear rotors.
3 sets of brake pads...

I try to use the brakes as little as possible, LOL - still too much I think...

Funny - on my GTP car i ran 2 years on the same set of endurance brake pads...

My 1985.5 944 "I" car had 87,000 miles on the stock rotors when it became a track car. 42 DE days, 18 club races later I changed the front rotors.

Doing 9 club races plus a couple of DEs a year I would change the front pads once a year and the rears every 2 1/2 years.

When you don't have much hp you don't spend a lot of time on the brakes.

I only got 7 track days (mixed with regular driving). Had to change rotors and pads. I have GT2 brakes so that's a pricey issue.

Problem is I have a Turbo (not a GT2) so I am hauling down a lot of weight at a lot of speed. I also try to take as much advantage of track days so I am pretty much on the track as much as possible. I do Chin Motorsport events and they have lots of track time.

I just put a new set on and after two days at Sebring they are already cracking

I don't know the exact answer to the question, but I know I get a lot more out of my rotors since the list tuned me up on my braking...

Funny, the more experience I get, the longer brakes and tires last.

I always told the guys wanting the big reds that it only slowed them down, to me its counter productive to wanting to go fast.

I usualy get about15 to 20 track days out of the oem flat(no driling/slots) rotors
Hawk Blues, run at tremblant

3 to 4 days on front rotors and twice that on rears. Change pads with rotors.

How in the hell do you guys run the rotors for that long?

Don't feel bad Chris. I would only get 5 events out of the rotors on my GT3.

Ahh, never mind. I thought you meant 3-4 events, not days. What pads do you run? I ran RS-19s

+1! When you drive 914's you can afford to touch the brakes if you don't want to get crushed.

I run (ran, car is sold) the old style small calipers and run Pagid RS29 (enduro) front and Pagid black rear.

Yes they are. I also run Big Reds, which probably helps life somewhat (but not too much).

I sure hope you're joking because that would be the most bizarre thing I've read this month.
