Well it could be Autometrics is going for that ultimate competitive advantage and shaving material from the seat sliders and brackets to save weight and thus the seats tend to move around some..........or.........it could just be that all the factory 996 GT3 cup, RS and RSR seats move that much and Leh's video set up is the only one good enough to get the full view of what all the seats are actually doing. The 997's have carbon seats now from OMP and do not flex as much as the previous recaro's.

All the seats, sliders and brackets are stock parts as delivered from Porsche.

It's not only them, everyone's seat flexes a lot. It's perfectly normal.

Would anyone know if the seat has a back brace pushed up against it? And is it mounted hard to the floor or does it have sliders?

Who is Leh? Pro vs Amatuer? Racing experiences? Age? Teams driven for? Everyone writes of him but I don't know anything about him. Video is impressive!

no back brace... its all the way back....... it mite flex a lil more because of that reason... because the sliders are slid back....

but yea.. seat flex is pretty common.... the video system is go good.. u can just see it real easy...

it doesnt bother me at all.. its like a airplace wing... it shoudl flex... so it dont just brake...

1.22 is pretty impressive. How many seconds do you think there are between the 996 RSR and the 997 RSR? How grippy is Road Atlanta? I haven't driven it in 4 years but it looks like the new asphalt was pretty grippy.
Thanks for posting the video

I have heard that the 997 RSR is only 1 second faster there.

Leh, were you running the restrictors in your RSR that were speced in the ALMS series?

Cool, figured you had. Was trying to figure out if your laptimes were directly comparable to the last RA ALMS race. Even so, definitely wheeling it out there.

Good luck at VIR. With any luck, I'll have my new car finished sooner rather than later and be back out there in the KONI series.
