HVR had a DE at LRP today. Lou runs a great event ... 1/2 hour run sessions and Lou exercised his perogative to merge run grouops ... so lots of track time.
The pond on the left hander is bigger and deeper than I have ever seen. Big puddle on the right in no name caused a few incidents as well. Overall the track was pretty good though ... heated up as the day went on. Looking forward to a good weekend with CVR. Thanks again Lou! AA
Yes, he was there. According to Gary, he had to "rent" an instructor from the Skip Barber school as we didn't have enough instructors to go around.
We spoke briefly at the end of his day and he seemed to have enjoyed himself.
Pretty good day. One nasty in white run group. Otherwise, no damage. A couple of cars stuck in the mud, both to the inside and outside of the left hander. Tim missed sliding into the "lake" outside the left-hander by about a car length. He also helped instruct and I'm pretty sure that he liked it too.
Gary said his car felt great and he was running on old (S04's, I think) Hoosiers.
I brought beer and munchies, but it was a little too chilly for a post-track gathering, so I have a cooler full of beer and ale and soda and lots of munchies in the trunk of my Jetta. Anyone up for a card game this weekend?
It's been a great two days and tomorrow promises to be the same. Boston got to run in Solo Green for the last run today and from my vantage point at pit-out he seemed to do quite well and he made it back in one piece so congrats for your first solo Boston!
Was good seeing you again Richard, too bad the "after-event beerfest" didn't work out. A few of us went to the Boathouse afterwards and stayed out waaaay too late telling war stories. Paid for it today but i'll be 100% tomorrow!

Thanks Gary, I had a blast especially lapping the Cup Car and the TTs....
Better yet, tomorrow I will be running the four sessions solo in Green (Yellow was full) I can hardly wait......

Re stuck in the mud: half a day of cleaning, a couple feet of racers tape, and we're good to go.
What do you think: Mud Dancer Motorsports? Adobe Red Racing? Bogged Down Racing? No wait! I've got it: "Stuck in the Mud Racing"---competes slowly against Duct Tape Racing and HWFM racing!
Glad to hear the car suffered no damage. We sure plowed up a **** load of mud. I really like that car. Nice set-up.
Did you check the height of the rear suspension as Dave suggested? There was a thread here not too long ago concerning the rear suspension handling problem of the '95 993's, which was apparently corrected in the later 993's. If you cannot find the thread, you should check with Joel Reiser who can explain this in great detail.
Anyway, have fun at Summit Point next weekend. Wish I was going. My friend "Than" (puke green '84 Carrera) should be there, make sure to say "hello" for me.
