I had magnetic numbers cloud up the clearcoat on my former 993 hood due to overnight condensation/rain. I never really got it completely gone. And the next day, one of them flew off at Road America. That was the last they ever saw of the track. Now solely the contact paper solution I described above.

Thumbs up Cling Numbers

I use cling. These can be re-used several times or more if you care for them and keep the contact surface clean. They go on like regular vinyl but can be removed at the end of the day. Cling does not actually have adhesive. It is a highly plasticized vinyl. I like to ones I got from FireStorm

I buy cardboard stencils from walmart, and a can of plasti-dip. Tape all of the stencils together and tape the seams. Spray plasti-dip, then peel off when ready. Almost endless supply of numbers.

Used for letters and numbers. The X is electrical tape.
