I have an 81 911 SC that I use for the Silver State Classic Open Road races. I ran it for the first time and was dissapointed at top speed. We recorded 148 mph through the speed trap and we were on the limiter! Does anyone know how much different trans gears would cost? I am aware of the HP required, just need the gear info, prices, install price, BTDT, ect...

Contact Team Porsche captain Carl Young @ 702-876-7982. Carl did the top gear on my Ruf turbo & we moved from 192 to about 211!We did some power mod's but the gear change allowed us to run a lot faster!BTW,Carl is installing the same gear in his 993TT also!

I believe that was a custom order tall gear that Carl got from us in late January :^)

But that was for a 6-speed transmission, and Sean needs a tall ratio gear for his 915.
