Ahhhhh, the dilema of a Porsche guy trying to race with SCCA....
I know it all too well as I race with them a good bit. I'm actually in the Florida region and they have a couple of catch-all classes, P1 (less than 2.8L) and P2 (greater than 2.8L). However, this is a region specific class. Outside of my region, there is some question.
Here's the link to the GCR (General Competition Rules) and Car Classification sections. http://www.scca.org/Club/Index.asp?IdS=09B97A-FABAED0&x=030|057&~=
My best guess would be ITE (newer class and a bit of a catch all), B Prepared or GT2 or GT3.... See what I mean....
The classifications are a bit tough but the racing is REALLY good and clean. Many a race with them and the only incident I've had was to my car caused by my co-driver going too deep

Yes it's ITE up here in the NE if you run DOT tires. There are some ITE cars like 944Ts with 400HP, Speed World Challenge M3s etc that run 56s at Lime Rock so it will be very tough.
Can't run a turbo in any national class (except a few nearly stock 4 cyls in the Touring classes).
Good luck!

Colin i have looked at every page in the SCCA rules book and my car is not even listed. The scrute told me i'd be in a production car class since i will be running C class stick PC CR. I think that's wrong

Yep,
Turbo cars have no real place to racing in SCCA.
NASA is different and there are 2 classes at least you can race in that will be somewhat competeitive. GTS or Performance Touring/Super Touring.
