I am 6'4" tall, by the way, and have plenty of room w/o even having to be diagonal.

I have a Chevy trailblazer and a silverado 1500 ext cab. Though I would recommend both, when towing my steel trailer and turbo and gear, 6000+ the trailblazer out tows the pick-up hands down at 80 comfortable and still has passing gear. Not bad for an in-line 6. I swear by it.

I have started doing this since getting the truck. I won't do it in the summer, obviously, but it is fine when it is cool out, and usually the track hotels I normally use blow chunks.

I am instructing a PCA event this weekend...so I will be at TWS when you call to taunt me with actual racing sounds from Sebring.

And be careful instructing. That can be more scary than racing.
Have a good one.

Did you look at the Avalanche? I bet after rebates you could get a loaded one for high 20s with a low interest rate from GMAC thrown in for good measure.
Did they change the body to the new yukon yet? If not, the old body is on clearence. You get your four doors and your pickemup....
the 40k base V8 AWD has a MSRP of 40k and after rebates isn 32k before haggling.

Tom: regarding the Avalanche - I do like the styling and functionality of that truck, but it is way, WAY too big for my daily-driver needs.

With rebates and haggling, the best I could get to for a 2007 was just under 30k for an Avalanche and around 32-33ish for a tahoe (w/ leather, the 5.3, towing...). I ended up going used and found a low mile tahoe for a good price and I couldn't be happier. Tahoe, trailer and all the crap to go with the two ended up being under 30k.
