We had some rain on Friday which took some tolls on equipment, but Saturday and Sunday were perfect. It was an orgy of Porsche racing. Over 25 GT3 Cups at one time on the track, that may be more than a real Supercup race. Overall another success for one of the premium events in Porsche Club Racing.

As a first-timer at The Glen, I second the "orgy" evaluation. It was a mind-blowing experience, first learning the line and then racing it-- going through the Esses at WOT, turning the Hoosiers into grease going through the bus stop, fighting off TTO through the loop, the pull of gravity in the chute and the agonizing crawl up to the sole again, feeling the left front lift off in the off-camber left and relaxing only at WOT again on the front straight. I can see why this place is famous, I can see why guys drove in from California and the Carolinas to be there.

A couple of wrecks but fortunately every one OK. I cannot wait to go back.

I was there and there were a ton of Cup cars. I don't have GT3 results. The top two run groups were dominated by 944 turbo's. In the top run group a 944 Turbo turned 1:56's and was about 30 car lengths ahead at the end. He was smokin' and there wasn't a Cup car near him. I did not see the enduro's.

Obviously I was using my wrist stop watch and eyeballing the results. Still the 951 was flying.
