+1 with Pace. I was going to purchase a new one until I found a used one cheaper.

Also a note on depreciation. A dealer mentioned it's -10% for the first two years, then it's basically flat after that. So when looking for a used trailer if you can get one 2 years old in good condition, thats your sweet spot for depreciation (anyone got any better info, I am all ears). I am not sure how this changes with fully optioned bling-*** race ***** trailers. This is for lower spec stuff like LVDell and I are using.

While I agree with you, please explain to my wife how a $7K trailer is "lower spec"

Tell her it's less than 10% of the value of your car. You're getting a bargain!

Larry, I will make sure we hook up at Zone 2 so you can tell her. I think when she see's you family "race team" she will realize just how "austere" my setup really is!

This has been out for awhile but it'll give you an idea of what to look for.

PACE vs. HAULMARK

My rep just convinced me that I should carry 2 V-Nose car haulers in stock in addition to the ordered unit we sold on Monday. I was only thinking one but, silly me, I am told I NEED two. THat's in addition to the 24' Pursuit and 28' Shadow Daytona I already had on order.

The Shadow Daytonas are nice. I almost bought one but was told I had to wait some ridiculous time.
Then I came across Millenium Trailers and they had one like I wanted in stock and they delivered it to me in about a week.
Those interested might want to check them out.
I'll be at Zone 2 if anyone wants to kick my tires (so to speak)

I have a hallmark 24" enclosed which I bought used from Glen in Dallas. Its an older model, I believe 98 or 99 and I towed it from Dallas, to Houston, to South Florida and back to Houston with my ex F250 PCD. It towed straight and true, no issues whatsoever passing big rigs or them passing me by. Even when I towed it from Dallas to Houston without the stabilizer hitch system I installed after, it towed without any issues. I'm a newbie to towing so I was very apprehensive at first, but I can tell you this trailer is great.

Joseph it wasn't that the Haulmark towed poorly, it was that by comparison, the Pace towed straighter and felt lighter although it is 8ft longer and 800 lbs heavier. Mind you, my Pace is a V-nose which makes a tremendous difference. I'm actually getting 1-2 MPG more with the Pace which I attribute to the aerodynamics. There's nothing wrong with the Haulmarks, the Pace is just a more expensive and better constructed trailer.
