Question Gulf livery helmet

'm in the process of designing my racing helmet for '03. I was thinking of having it painted in the Gulf livery blue/orange scheme made famous by the 917's and GT40's from the 60/70's.

I thought I had seen a helmet painted with the Gulf livery a few years ago when the Audi R8 raced with the Gulf livery but cannot find any photos. Can anyone confirm that a helmet was indeed painted with this livery and if so, please link photos.

Many thanks,
Scott

Scott,

Patrick Lemarie co-drove in Stefan Johansson's Audi R8 at both Laguna Seca and Petit Le Mans in 2001. His helmet, while not in the traditional Gulf livery, was a good match for the car. Here's a picture from Turn 5 at Road Atlanta.

Scott,

Also, FWIW, here is a link to the area on The Race Site that highlights various drivers' helmets. There are some interesting design ideas to view...

Thanks for the photo and link. I'm nearing completion of a design and will post once complete.
