Post WCMA / SCCA Rules Question

For those who don't know I just purchased a 1973 914 Rolling Chassis with a Sheridan Wide Body kit, Kinesis 17x11 and 17x10 wheels and various 911 parts. The car is set up to accept a Porsche 6 cylinder engine. I was reading the section on GT racing in the WCMA guidelines (I'm told they are a close copy of the SCCA rules) and was wondering what I would need to stay in GT-2. At first I thought my track was too wide but after reading the definition of track width I'm pretty sure I barely fit in GT-2. Next comes engine selection. I've found a 3.6 locally that I considered to put in the car but if I read the rules correctly the largest displacement I can have is 3.0 if I want to stay in GT-2. Does anyone here have a GT-2 914 that they could share some insight on with me? My car currently weighs 1400 lbs without the 915 tranny that came with the car. I'm guessing with an engine the car would come in around 2100 lbs. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
