No more R Compound Tires
For all you track junkies out there, there is a potential that the Feds are
going to legislate out our R compound tires. For more info see:
<a href="http://www.hoosiertire.com/fmvsshlp.HTM" target="_blank">http://www.hoosiertire.com/fmvsshlp.HTM</a>
It appears that time is running short on the comment period, but I would
suggest that you submit your comments to the Federal government.

The Hoosier site didn't provide sufficient information to allow anyone to make informed comments. I need more info before I'm willing to request exemption for Hoosier from the new and improved tire performance standards (which on the surface sound like a good thing to me).
I think we'll be able to buy good track tires for years to come. In fact, how bout those new Cups? Now that's something for Hoosier to fear.
