I have a lesson: make sure that you check your ***** before you hitch the trailer back up! This past event I did a routine inspection at the track before I re-connected the trailer and noticed the the nut had backed off of the threads about 2 turns, but was the ball still felt tight because it was under tension from the lock washer. That has never happened to me in over 15 years of towing. Now I'll check it before every tow.

In my younger days of deep diving, we had a checklist that we followed religously before we splashed. It kept us alive, and allowed a greater sense of security since everyone on the team knew the list had been triple checked. I see no less need or importance in racing for a checklist ...

.............8. Two days with David Murry instructing (along with video from a trailing car) are worth MORE than all the money I spent on the other crap this year.

No amount of mods can equal the benefits of this kind of training!
