Lightbulb 964 Cup gathering at Watkins Glen '07

The core GTC1 guys are looking to get as many people with 964 cups out to the PCA Watkins Glen club race in '07. A magazine article & photo ops are being planned as well. Colasante promises to make commorative patches/stickers for the event! Even if you've never raced, it will be a great opportunity to see a large number of these cars driven as they were meant to be. So either sign up for the race, or volunteer and bring your car for everyone see. Start your planning now!

If you are interested, you can contact me via PM or email.

Current attendees:
1.Steve Berlack (White USA Cup)
2.Charlie Boyer (White Euro Cup)
3.Jeff Burger (Black Euro Cup)
4.Bob Cohen (Black/Red Euro Cup)
5.John Colasante (White Euro Cup)
6.Brant Giere (White Euro Cup)
7.Colin Mazzola (Rubystone Euro Cup)
8.Ron Savenor (Red Euro Cup)
9.Bob Scotto (White Euro Cup)
10.Henk Westerduin (Blue Euro Cup)
11.Bob Wonsetler (White USA Cup)

Colin, The magazine article is looking to be scheduled at the Hudson Valley Advanced driver event in May so the owners of 964s who don't race can participate. This is proposed and has not yet been accepted by the magazine. This also allows for a low key environment to get the stories behind the cars for the article. I'm hoping that Colin from 9M in England will ship his car over and come and play and maybe stay for the June club race.

Boy Colin, it didn't take you long to switch camps.

I guess that you realized that if you weren't going to get by me at Daytona, it wasn't ever going to happen in that turbo.

Well, I did consider making my car C prepared and coming to whomp on you. Just imagine me with an extra 40hp (X33), big reds, 20mm more rubber, and a big honking wing. It wouldn't be pretty for ya .

I don't race, but the HVR advanced driver event sounds great for me.

Colin,
Which car do you have under agreement? How much are you asking for your turbo? Good luck!

In order to run gtc-1.. one must have the original cup suspension on the car correct? Obviously I could not run our USA cup with the moton setup, but can anyone tell me if the USA cups' delivered suspension (sitting in storage) is the same as the euro race (gtc-1 spec) setup? Also, what is the exhaust setup we'd have to run in gtc-1?

Jerry Greene's car.

I have not yet posted my turbo for sale, which I need to do soon. I am still noodling on price, but probably $55k. I have a ton of spares (4 sets of wheels, ultralap, spare half shafts, new spare cv bolts, new intercooler orings, innovative A/F LM-1 gauge, new brake pads, etc, etc, etc). If you know of anyone, let me know!

I believe that the euro cup suspension is the same as the USA cup version. For exhaust, you can run the fabspeed bypass, as the cup part is NLA. Original headers need to be used (no B&Bs/GHLs, etc.)

Even if you come and run in D, we'll still let you in the picture...maybe .

Somehow, "38GTC1" isn't going to work with your current avatar...

Hey Larry, maybe we can have a group photo of 964 C, D, and E class cars that one day hope to grow up to be Cup Cars
