Some rumors at the Daytona Club Race that it would return to Daytona.

Sure hope so. I can't really think of another place that has that much room I think there were over 600 entries in 2004, so I'll bet there will be over 1000 at the next one. I guess Atlanta and Mid Ohio could handle 600, but I'll bet there will be lots more than that. Plus, even in 2004 there were several 100 car groups, and a 2.5 mile track can't handle that.

Here's a question, if Rennsport was held next year at Daytona, would you go to the PCA Club Race, Rennsport, or both in 2007? I ran Rennsport II, but didn't do the PCA Club Race this year. Just came to watch since I was vacationing in Disney World with the family.

I would not run Daytona > 1/year.

Lets strap some modern F1 rubber on the 917/30 - see if another lap record can be set.

I would defintely run both. But then again, I am only 2.5 hours away On the other hand, I can't help to think that if they held both in one year, the PCA Club Race would get seriously hurt and I would hate to see that. Dave R and his gang did such an amazing job 2 weeks ago!

Good question. The only Rennsport Reunion II poster I ever saw was the one they were selling the weekend of the event that had the three 907's that won Daytona in 1968. I know they were taking some group shots of historic Porsche of significance the Thursday before the race weekend. However, I can assure you that the wonderbread car wasn't invited to that family photo shoot

Wishful thinking perhaps, but I'd love to see it at Sebring in 07.

MJR911 is right. We would have definitely heard about it down here in Florida already. I highly doubt it would be held at Sebring, not with Daytona so close. Besides, the Sebring area hotels would be hard pressed to accomodate everyone. Daytona is a MUCH better place to have it but with the PCA Club Race going on next October, I would have to vote for another location (if I had a vote, of course ). My vote would probably be for Road Atlanta
