Great photos. GT3 looked at home! BTW was the Stradale running the correct line by centering the rumble strip?

On that particular part of the track, yes.
It was me driving it in the pic too.

I did not get a ride. We now have 3 300hp Atoms in the club.

Well,
Maybe a bit too much.

Firebird is one of my home tracks. That corner is taken pretty much flat for 944 spec car. Not sure about street cars however.

The goal is to straddle the curbing, but going too far over can result in smacking the wall on the outside.

In this pick you can see a cayman S going just about too far and you can also see the slight dip at the curbing. Get the outside wheels in that dip on on the curb and the car will bounce out torwards the wall. Happend to me a few times in my last race there in april. I could feel the car get tossed out torwards the wall. Not fun, but I was lucky to not hit the wall.

By contrast this line is just about perfect as both tires on firmly planted on good pavement.

LOL. I was driving in all 3 of those pics. I guess I was getting a little over it in the Stradale and the Cayman. Thanks for the heads up.

No problem. When shooting for really fast laps you want to cut that corner as much as possible. Of course just like most things go too far going too fast and bad things can happen. I have driven number of tracks at it always is a balancing act with the curbs. Some places you use then. Others you don't. Some places you can really go over them and the more you "use" them the better... until you use them too much. Sadly there is not too much run off there as you know.

BTW... did they fix the hole on the inside of the curb on right hander just before this right/left sequence? That sucker is nasty can take out a wheel pretty easily. I think it busted a wheel on MB SL last year at a PCA event.

They must have, I did not notice it. You need to come to some of our events.
Keep an eye on the calendar.

Well,
I don't think a 84 944 NA counts as an "exotic"

I have been spending my track time with NASA doing 944 spec races. We have one this weekend (PIR), then one more in mid November(Firebird) and them early December(PIR). One event per month pretty much is all the track time my wife will allow me. I can't even get out to alot of the PCA stuff.

Neither does a GT3 .
We do other type of events besides track stuff.
