Nice looking car. I'm looking forward to seeing it race and thus see if the aero improvements lead to more passing.

I like the gills on the sides. I always amazes me, when seen up close, how small these cars are.
They look so big, but in person they look about the same size as my 914 but only 1/2 as high.

The new Panoz has a shorter wheelbase than the current Lola.

Nice to see an American manufacturer supplying the field.

Looks like a flat bottomed car (no tunnels). Is that right Chris?

It has tunnels, larger tunnels than ever before Goal is to generate DF from tunnels and not so much wings -- makes for better passing opportunities..

Really? Cool. Looks more like an F1 style diffuser than what I'm used to seeing on Champ Cars. I'm used to seeing deeper tunnels that go way forward.

It would be interesting to see aero numbers from the current Lola side by side with the Panoz.

Isn't that one of the main differences in regard to aerodynamics between F1 and Champ Car?

F1 cars are flat bottom cars with rear diffusers. Current Champ Cars have traditional (if relatively small today) GF tunnels that begin somewhere shortly after the leading edge of the side pod. F1 cars are flat between the trailing edge of the front tires and the leading edge of the rear tires. Yet, F1 cars generate significantly greater downforce.

Pretty sweet set of brakes too...but I must admit I'm a little biased.
