As an aside, you may not want to emphasize in your marketing the M-sub-y test values as these are given little weight in a racing environment. The same necessarily holds for Nij.

I origionally wondered if it would be ok in a car with 3point belts. In other words more user friendly for Instructors.
The first releases said something about not relying on the belts. Something about the wings being there to stop them from doing soft tissue damage.
I sent a PM to Karl and he got back to me but didn't have an answer to my question.

I believe the idea is for this design to function without any consideration given to belts. They have a version (not as tall in the rear) used by motorcyclists. Of course, that does not help retain the belt, but it implies it would work with a 3 pt.
Too bad they haven't released the data. It's beyond the deadline for an SAE paper, but if they get it to us in time I can include it in our presentation next month.

Does the Leatt-Brace™ comply with safety standards?
There is very little in the way of neck protection standards internationally. Specification Document SFI 38.1 (USA) will need to have their test protocols re-written to be in a position to test our brace, as our design is so unique and offers far more protection than this specification tests for. We have made an application to the SFI standards authority in this regard.
