DOT tires on a 996 Cup?

I think they would be too wide. Optimal would be 245/35 and 285/30
Newer cars have a wider front wheel and may handle 265
Also would need to alter the camber and toe. If you just bolt them on to a car set up for slicks you will be in for a suprise

I can guess why... they would last more than a few days
The MPSCs might have to be 235/295 but they should work.
They also like alot of camber so they would be better that way than a Hoosier R6

For some reason, the cup cars on RA1 toyos rip pretty darn well!!!
If you look at the stock cup car driven by henzler vs the motorsport upgraded engine'd GT3 driven by Liddel, their times were only 1 second apart. same track on slicks, found only about a second more.
and as was said, they last a long long time! for one second , it may be worth it for some to have a tire that last for a while. Or, you can be practicing for your pro debut with Speed world challenge GT!
