The worn soles give me a great feel, the semi- climbing rubber formula has great grip, they're light, and they were $20.00.

Rick964, I just re-read the POC 2006 GCR's and article 9 deals with safety clothing.
An excerpt says "Tennis shoes with ALL leather uppers are acceptable."
I wear nomex socks with them.
