What's the weight difference between a BBS Magnesium wheel and, say, a Fikse or Kinesis?

I'm not sure, but would this help?

The weights for the Volks are spot on with the measurements I took with mine.

Charlie, Bill Dougherty (610-692-6039) runs specials for the spring and can sometimes get Fikses on a group buy at very low prices. You should give him a call. I got $900 off of list on the last 2 sets I bought.

And as far as the tires rotating on the rims, it can happen on any wheel. I just started balancing the wheel and not worrying about the tire. Also, when you get all that tire slag inside the wheel, it doesn't help the balance much either.

I'll be at Lime Rock, but will only be co-driving in 38D's car in the enduro. No Atlanta for me. I'm hoping to make Mid Ohio.

Bro, I'm not sure how to read this chart. Are those weights in kg? What's the first column?

I kind of figured that but then wasn't sure when three wheels were listed in a row. I wasn't sure how the first column was calc'd.

Rick,
What size are your Fikse's (width and offset)? Also, how much torque is required on the centerlock nut? I might be interested. I have a street/DE 986 S with Volk TE37's on them that the rears are a bit too wide (10.5"). I take them on and off enough that having centerlocks would be a big help, but I am leery of having to spend big $$$ for wrenches as I do use the car as a somewhat daily driver. Are the rims on your website?

Thanks,

Steve

I found it on the website mobile.de. The seller is Tom Schmitz who claims to be the largest reseller of Porsche lightweight cars in the world. He specializes in Cups, RSs, RSRs, etc. So far so good on my experience with him....But I don't have the car yet, I am hoping it will be on a boat this week.

It may look new, but I could also show you this picture... (as with all true Cups, this one has its share of purple hearts...)

(The car has its original aluminum hood, but both front fenders have been replaced, as well as the front bumper (note the black holes for washer jets - not a Cup bumper, etc.)
