Every time it was with the 285 tire on the rear.
my rears were 285 that dry rot cracked badly as well with the 1st generation PZero Cs
...also properly inflated.. and at that time ONLY for autocross use (not even DE track use like I do now)

Chris, it didn't. Still trying to get the gearbox together, never got the monoballs on the car, along other stuff. TWS is this weekend and it doesn't look like I'll make it. Oh well, I probably don't need to race it before I get it set up properly.

Pirelli is going to look at the tire, so it is on its way there. I don't think anything will come of it, as they claim no responsibility if the tire is used on the track. I thought that odd since it is a track tire, but whatever. The replacement is backordered for a couple months. Not sure what to do now.

Run the P-Zero Corsas for the last 2 years with no issues. Just lucky, I guess.
I've been thinking of going to Hoosiers this year anyway. So, you may have helped make my decision. In any event, I too am very glad that no harm came to you or your car.

Ahhh digging this thread up from the dead....
I just came back from a track day that ended much too soon. Prior to mounting the wheels for the track day, I would have guessed that my Corsas had enough rubber for two more DE's. During yesterday's DE, it wore to the cords in just two sessions. The last time I used these tires was back in October '06, and I noticed then that the inside tread blocks had started chunking. Attached are a few photographs. Before mounting on the track wheels, I had about as much tread on the inside blocks as I had in the middle, so you can see that the inside must have just disintegrated.
I run these corsas at ~26 cold, ~33 hot. I also inflate them to 35 cold for the 1.75-hour drive to and from the track. The photo shows a front tire with 6 prior DE days. -3 degrees of camber, 1/8" toe out.
