Guys, thanks for the feed back on the gear issue.

Ken I wish I could get up there, but I have to take the wife and kids to airport that day Next time there is a group of 944 heading out of Nor Cal please drop me a line. I would love to get to know these cars a little more.

Arlen,
I have not done T-Hill or Buttonwillow with the SPEC944 yet, but have been to Laguna Seca. I do touch 5th there but breifly and you really don't need the short 5th. I use/need the short 5th for Willow Springs, Cal Speedway, and LVMS.

Later this year there should be a bunch of SPEC944's with POC at Laguna Seca, Sears and Buttonwillow. The dates are as follows:

Laguna Seca: 8/26-8-27
B-Willow: 9/23/-9/24
Sears/Infinion":10/27-10/29

Please come by and visit. We are a friendly bunch and are always looking for more folks to join us. We generally have 5-15 cars out at each event.

By the way, you can pick up a built and sorted SPEC car for $8-12k. It will cost less to buy one built and SORTED. I think that there are a couple in S. Cal up for sale.

Greg,
There were 4 that I know of that were for sale here in S. Cal. These cars are for the new PCA class, POC and NASA. These are all currently being run in POC and NASA. These are not 944 Cup cars nor are they SCCA cars.

I will confirm that they are still for sale and send you a PM if this is what you are looking for. I can also find out if there are any others for sale if you would like.

David,
Yes that is what I am looking for, not a Cup or Scca car but a spec car.
I appreciate your help, you can also email me at greg@gfishman.com if that is easier.

Greg,
If you want to get a built 944 spec car it will be out of So-Cal or Arizona.

Best place to look is http://nasaforums.com Then pick the 944-spec area. Plus it is a great place to learn more about the cars and the class. You don't need to be NASA member to post or be a part of the spec fun overthere.

Greg,
I will contact the guys that I know that were selling their cars. Most are still racing them so I can confirm if they are still for sale.

Joe knows most of these cars as well. Definitely check out the NASA site and also POC at : http://www.porscheownersclub.org/

Greg,
I sent and Email to you and Kevin Kane in Phoenix about his car that is for sale. Kevin's car is complete and race ready. I believe he is looking to sell since his job is preventing him from racing time wise.

David, Joe,

Thanks for the heads up. I will poke around the NASA forum page and learn a little more about the class and cars.

Arlen and Greg,
Joe can also chime in if he wants as he knows these cars:

Tim Comeau is selling one of his cars ("Convict Car" I think)
Eric Sorenson has mentioned & advertised his "Red Bull" car
Jason Wilberding may be selling the "Uberclasse" car

Greg,
I sent you Tim's e-mail and am waiting to hear back from Eric & Jason.

The fourth car I mentioned earlier is not for sale. The driver is having too much fun racing and doesn't want to sell after all
