(I have this seat in my 964 Cup car and have been very happy with it, FWIW)

Thanks so much for pointing this out. I've been putting off buying a new seat, but really had to this season regardless. The timing was perfect for me.
Ebay has 1 up for auction but they actually have a handfull left. I'd move soon if anyone needs one. I just got off the phone and bought one like the one pictured from Paul, really cant beat that deal. They also have the one with the holes in the side.

Me to NO affiliation stuff.... Thanks again

It's dated Feb. '04.
Has three years remaining for PCA racing unless you install a back brace.

And they don't want to help you out in any way with trying to figure out whether or not it'll work for your body type, doesn't suprise me that after all this time they're still trying to sell these. I called and tried every which way to get them to take measurements for me at various points. They could't be bothered. Wanted me to draw a diagram for them with the locations on the seat I wanted measurements from, fax it to them and they'd see about getting the info.......NAH. I ended up finding a private party who had the Euro GT3 seats that I went with, and I still drive the car daily with those seats.

I was able to download the seat dimensions from Recaro's (German) website IIRC.
They did fit into my 964 Cup, even with (fixed) plexiglass side windows.

:EDIT: Does anyone know if the HANS seat would fit in a 73T?

You would have to be crazy to buy that seat. It isn't HANS compatable.

I'm somewhat confused.

Assuming you fit in the seat and the top of the HANS device allows the harnesses to exit at the proper (horizontal) angle, then why would this seat not be HANS compatible?
That would mean that any other racing seat/shell (composite or aluminum) would not be HANS compatible?
IIRC, the only difference between the ProRacerSPG and ProRacerSPG HANS was the size of the (vertical) openings, thus allowing for greater variability in driver height/HANS/harness routing.

What am I missing?

I would think that your mounting position of the belts and your shoulder position would have to be incredibly in line with the small amount of horizontal room that the seat offers. It would be amazing if it fit you perfectly. That's why the HANS Recaro has so much horizontal room in the holes, to allow for variablilty of shoulder height and strap position.

$849 is indeed an excellent price for that seat. I'm a Recaro dealer (not a Warehouse Distributor) and that is WELL below dealer cost.

If the harness cutouts are an appropriate fit to the driver, HANS should not be a problem. This is the same seat sold in every GT3 Cup Car and is often used w/HANS device. It appears that Recaro is now making this seat JUST as a "HANS" version to allow proper fitment for more drivers.
