Default PFC vs Hawk vs EBC

Hello ,
Just interested in hearing the differing of opinions ( subjective or objective) on the pros ,cons or just simply the best that these differing brands have to offer.
As we are currently running the hawks and would like to try something different this season,

Default EBC RedStuff ceramics

These stop well on my 996 on the track but have no low temp friction on the street. Can't compare with anything but stock pads and they are better on track, make less dust, but have no stopping power when cold.

I have used many sets of pfc 97 both on my 930 and Boxster. They stop very well and work well on the street even when its fairly cold outside, and don't squeal too badly. I tried Pagid blue before & these are night & day better. They do generate a bit of brake dust. Haven't tried EBC nor Hawk so can't comment.

Pad choice is quite contingent on the type of car you run (notably weight, power, and brake size) and your tire choice. I run PFC01s on my 350Z (comperable to a 996) with 275 r-compounds all around, and I assure you that these are some of the best out there. Great pedal feel and high thermal capacity, but on the street they aren't as effective until they have some heat in them. I've also run Cobalt VRs, Carbotech XP10 and XP11, but the PFC has a far superior braking feel. On the contrary, the Cobalts and Carbotechs are a third cheaper too. For the rear, you could really go with a variety of pads, if you choose the PFCs go with the 97 compound.

Word of warning on the Hawks... they love to eat rotors.

Here's another view: I run Pagid orange all around...I've run Forodo's and Hawk's. The Paget's work very well and are about the same regarding being rotor friendly...my .02

Never heard of PFC, but Hawks are the best I have tried.

The full name is Performance Friction. We have been selling them for 15 years and have a lot of very happy 944 customers. We have them in 97 compound for the front and rear of your car. Rotor friendly and stop well.
