Brian, from my perspective at the other end of the HP spectrum, I am cheering well, not really, warm and rain is fine, but cold and snow or rain will suck. Glad I have a tow vehicle.

All I know is that the idea of going through a licensing school with a bunch of other rookies, IN THE RAIN, isn't my idea of a good time.

Plus, I don't have rain tires.

We were snowed out last weekend at VIR with the THSCC. Hopefully, you guys will dodge it this weekend.

Good Luck!

Yeah, but you "own" VIR. You could probably drive it well in your sleep. Don't be too harsh on us interloper rookies

Last second change, I'll be there... Bought a truck, trailer, and I'm steaming to hit the track since last weekend got snowed out! Wheee for impulsive purchases!

I am not bringing you down, I am getting you mentally prepared !

I have done 2 track days @ VIR in early December and each was threatened by snow. The track was icy early but that had melted off by 9:30 or so and we got in most of our driving.

What is hard to take is the infamous VIR paddock sand/grit combined with rain. Keep a pair of "paddock-only" shoes handy or you will be vacuming grit out of your car for the next 2 years.

Well, quick update - Me, Sleder, and TD in DC passed the licensing school yesterday.

And today, it is snowing like crazy. I went out, couldn't even see, so came back in - made 1 lap!

My windows were so fogged up I couldn't see a thing.
