Paul Walsack flew over the site last week and said they have begun to move earth and cut out the track.

Do they still think they are on schedule for 2007 spring track opening of "phase 1?"

I've heard that the track staff has been in touch with various clubs and governing bodies to secure dates and arrange a schedule for 2007.
I'm hoping the NNJR will finally get a Club Race on their agenda, it's their duty!
Anyone know anything that's recent? The web site has been silent.

I spoke to someone today in contact with the club and they are still waiting for EPA and FAA (SInce they are using some airport land) approvals. Thay are still planning on a fall '06 build start.

Oh, so nothing has started yet? That's a bit disappointing. I'm seeing this track as my future, the area has not recovered from the loss of Bridgehampton.

All you can do is e-mail them off the web site, which I've done. If and when they come back to me, I'll let you know what the latest is.

I sent my $$ in a while ago and I think this thing will be built. Not sure about "racing" in '07 though.
