Default Rennwerke

Has anyone here worked with Rennwerke in Elmsford, NY? I'm looking for possible shops to help me with a track car. Any other shops in Westchester county NY or nearby that anyone has experience with?

Also, does anyone know of a place in Westchester or nearby to pickup racing equipment (e.g., helmets, fire safety, etc.)?

Thanks.

Cheech takes good care of my stock '86 - he seems to have a LOT of track cars there all the time - ( as well as some fotos of "rennwerke" cars at speed on the track) so the impression I get is one of expertise and a lot of satisfied (track) customers. I'd be interested to hear the experience of those who actually use him for their track cars...

Hi There,

You can try DeMan Motorsport, they are in Nyack. Just across the Tappan Zee bridge. Track/race car specialists. In house Dyno and full track support services.
Take a look at the website.

I have used Rennwerke for approx. 7 years. Cheech has done a great job on my P cars over the years, including building me several race engines. He does great work.

IOne of their mechanics was trained by Rick Deman on high performance engine and transmission rebuilding. He worked for Rick for 3 or 4 years.

I've had Rick DeMan work on my cars before and have never had any issues with him. I found him to be very professional and have a passion for what he does. I have also had dealings Many other majior shops in and out of the NY/NJ area. You can ALWAYS find someone to say something about EVERY shop out there. Over the years I have heard my fair share of horror stories about EVERYONE. I stopped working with Deman a few years back due to Geographic reason Only. I stopped by his shop last week (I am gonna have him do some high tech stuff), and was Amazed at how his shop is in my opinion a full, real deal, race shop. He certainly builds and has some pretty hairy stuff there.
Sorry to get off topic, being a business owner myself I know the importance of ones reputation. I gain nothing for vouching for Deman ( I'm sure I'm not getting a discount) so please dont think my opinion is tainted. I also have a very good friend I race with that has Gasper work on his car at Rennwerke and he only has great things to say him. I think either would be a good choice.

Hey Rick

I was planning on getting in touch with you next spring as one of my options (as well as Rennwerke). This string won't change that.
