I like the yellow, it made it easy to spot in the mix of P cars. Especially from the birds eye view... Are there any sites that will have the lap times listed for the cars that run in the ALMS?

Forgive my ignorance, I've fallen out of touch with ALMS, and a quick perusal of their website didn't yield up quick answers. What engine is Porsche using in the LMP2 car? Purpose built or something adapted? What is the maximum displacement in LMP2?

Thanks,

Gary

http://www.theracesite.com/index.cfm...m_article=9673

Here are some details.

A 3.4l V8...911 bound??? Maybe that is why they chose LMP2.

Also, based on the lap times, it looks like it is in line with the LMP1 cars especially assuming that they are still working out the kinks.

My buddy was there working for Michelin with the winning Zytec LMP1 team. He told me before and after the race that Porsche wasn't showing all their cards yet with the RS, in his opinion.

I was at the track all weekend and never saw any of the race. I'll have to catch the RS next year at Sebring.

A (watercooled) V8 in the rear of a 911? Please tell me it won't fit.
