Kuhmo Victoracers or Toyo Proxes RA1
I've got the Victoracers on the car now, I like them but I was wondering from those of you who run the Toyo Proxes, how do you like them, how do they wear, and have you run the victoracers before hand?

I prefer the RA-1 to Victoracers but I prefer the V710 to the RA-1.
I only ran the Victoracer once, so my comparison data is not the extensive. The RA-1 has better consistency over the run session, and like Jack and Terry said you will get more heat cycles.

How about in the rain? I need rain tires that will see very limited use as dry back ups. I have MPSC's for the dry but don't want to use MPSC's on cooler days (under 55 degrees or so) or in the wet.

I use a set of RA-1s as rain tires (and spares if I have a problem) and MPSCs as the general use tire for my track car.
I think the ECSTA v700 are fine for autox but heat up too much for track use, especially on hot days. There were a lot of complaints about them chunking at the track and falling apart on the 993 board when they first came out a few years ago. I used up one set of them for autox but never took them to the track.

People with lighter cars love them (under 2200 pounds) but I've only heard bad things after about 10 minutes of a session on 993s (aka, heavier cars)

We've been using Yoko A032R as rain tires and Kuhmo Victoracer V700. I've just been reading some very good things about the Toyos lasting a bit longer, even shaved 4/32. Sorry, would someone fill in the MPSC and DSSR?

DSSR = Dunlop Super Sport Race
(both are R compound tires that are DOT approved for street use)

In my opinion, the Kuhmos have stiffer sidewalls, are quieter and "feel" like they stick better as a result. The RA1s behave more like street tires but they seem to stick just about as well. They take some getting used to if you have been driving on Kuhmos. I use RA1s for rains.
