I had these Konig seats in my old 914. They were comfy and cheap. One of the main things to worry about in 914s is having a seat that sits low enough so you don't hit the roof. I am 6'2" and I fit fine with 'em

The lack of a headrest is a little scary.

I have a Momo Nascar seat in my 914, it looks like you could easily install both a drivers and passengers racing seat

Not sure about fit in a 914, but I have a black Momo Start seat thats never been used - I mounted it up and then got a great deal on a Recaro SRD. I'm selling the seat and slider for $225 + shipping. The Start seat is a FIA seta, fiberglass, wiith 5 harness holes. It's an extremely lightweight seat and I would think it would be ideal for a 914.

Also, I made a quick webpage awhile back with some photos and info. The pictures take awhile to load so be patient.

Thanks for the reply guys.
you are correct by assuming that the scheel seats are great, I have one but cannot be used, need proper headrest and belt holes (5).
anyone recommend carbon fiber seats???

I really like the Kirkey aluminum seats. Comfortable, light, strong, great support and fit great in a 914. Oh, and they're cheap too!!

You can bolt it straight to the floor if you're tall and still have plenty of head room.

(Sorry about the massive link...)

Cheers!

Hi ,just to add to the discussion ,we have 3 seats that would fit the needs and the look of your classic 914.The Rallye ST is the serious choice with the side openings and lap belt opening, the closest to the Scheel is our Sebring, also with the lap belt hole and the option for the waist belt holes, the third is the LeMans a replacemant seat for the 914 with the original padding and this one has as wel the lap belt hole but the waist belt fit over the side support.
Depending on your personal dimensions the Rallye ST is the widest and the LeMans is the tightest.

I went with the Cobra Suzuka's. Snug fit between the longitudinals and center tunnel, but a strong and light seat.
