Nice!!!
Speaking of odd tire-wall stories...has anyone that's been to Mont Tremblant notice that the tire walls consist of all BRAND NEW TIRES!!! I couldn't believe it, but took a closer look (from outside the fence) and sure enough, the tires are all BRAND NEW. I'm guessing maybe recalls or blems? There's thousands of them.

I seem to recall that those tires are pretty infamous. If you look at them carefully, I believe they are the infamous Firestone SUV tires that were blamed for so much trouble on the Ford Explorer a few years ago. One assumes they got a pretty good deal on them. Rather ironic that a tire blamed for several deaths is now employed to help save lifes.

Perhaps they can get a deal on Michelin F1 tires.

The price was right but when used on some corners they would fall apart.

Yeah, they are the Firestone tires. LCMT was rennovated around the same time that the Ford/Firestone thing was going on, so I guess racetracks is where unwanted tires go to retire. Personally, I think they should have built the Armco out of the "flip when I get a flat" Ford Explorers instead.

You see many new tires around Summit Point....paid for by you and me. Gov't take-offs when they fit their spec tire to new vehicles, sidewalls slashed so they can't be resold/used.
