Print Your Own Racing Numbers?
I am looking at printing my own racing numbers (and I can add other "cool" graphics. I have a 13"x19" inkjet printer and I can laminate my own adhesives. Has anyone done this or should I blaze my own trail and identify the appropriate films and adhesives?

I'm using Scotchcal Changeable Opaque Imaging Media 8522 from 3M. It's the stuff they use for TEMPORARY purpses on buses and cars. Check the 3M web site for many details. Comes off cleanly!

Tim:
I have done this for my own numbers, as well as other folks numbers.
Staples will laminate your number for you for about a buck a page.
Craft stores like Michaels and Rag Shop have magnetic material with adhesive backing.
Design, laminate, adhere to magnetic material, and voila - instant numbers!
(See my website photo gallery for a sample of my numbers)

If you're interested in buying instead of making your own, I'd recommend these people:

I've used them for graphics/lettering for my boats and they do a really nice job, and were surprisingly inexpensive. They do graphics for quite a few Indy Cars, Champ Cars, Sprint cars, etc.

Here is the film. It looks great although I haven't had it in the rain yet.
