Default Dr.Phil and Car Racing

Last night my wife was watching Dr.Phil as we sat down to dinner. I wasn't really paying attention but Dr.Phil was doing a profile on a couple and the husband was addicted to the Dallas Cowboys. Apparently over four years the husband spent over $25,000 on Dallas Cowboy items. My wife turned to me and said: "Could you imagine somebody spending over $25,000 just on a hobby. I would dump the guy."

I assured my wife that I would never spend $25,000 over four years on just a hobby. The one thing that I didn't tell her was that I would spend MUCH MUCH more!!

regards,
Patrick Parato

$25K over 4 years and she's complaining? From most of the people I know who golf, that sounds like a small amount.

Always remember the plus sign is evil and the equal sign is not your friend.

Mine too. Full board in Westchester is $2500+ per month, so the minimum is $30k just to have a show horse. Thanks god my wife is a trainer not a client!

Btw, they will never grow out of it.

My wife did and she swore over her dead body would her kids ever get into showing. I didn't count on my mother-in-law getting involved and I must be on my second wife because two out of three daughters are into it big and the third is beginning...

Are you kidding? Who else could you get to be a race sponsor other than your wife?
