Default GT4 Release Date

The Best Buy site still says it's coming soon and I read the 23rd is the release date for Gran Turismo 4. Anyone know if it's shipping on time - the wait is killing me.

I am pretty sure its this week, wendsday the 23rd to be exact. The game ships tuesday the 22nd, some stores might get it tuesday, most will have it defenetley wendsday morning or after lunch. Check the release on EBworld.com , Gamestop.com , IGN PS2 and Amazon.Com . Thats enough proof for me!

I put my deposit on this game just before Christmas, so I'm looking forward to it, as well. I can't wait to try the old Nurburgring circuit. I've seen countless laps of it on In Car 956 w/ Derek Bell.

Yes it really is all about the new tracks...... graphics, cars and everything else is a bonus. Will we be able to carry over the cars and games from GT3?

From what i have read on forums, you basically start with a clean slate. I wish you were able to atleast carry over your licenses, but i guess its a good thing they make you do them over as i have heard the phsyics of the game have changed enough to require adapting.

Im completlely stoked to play this game!

CJ, are you going to get the complete setup like Tim (ColorChange) has? I think he's playing GTR which looks real impressive. I played a demo of Forza Motorsport and thought it had pretty good physics.

Now I have to figure out where I can put a TV, seat and game machine to go driving

Nah, I could buy a new trailer or upgrade the tow rig to a diesel for that kind of dough. I may look into a cheaper set-up if I really like the game which is pretty likely, I guess. Anyone know of a realistic steering wheel/control set-up for PS2 that won't break the bank or make me feel guilty if I only use it occasionally?

A couple of the stores here were advertising wheels @ discounted prices if you buy them at the same time as the game, check your sunday paper.

This is supposed to be pretty cool for the PS2:

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...CONTENTID=7226

It has 900deg steering which is apparently better than 200deg steering because 900>200.
